8 Healthcare and Health Tech Brands Tackle Taylor Swift

8 brands. 1 topic. Wildly different social posts. Come on in and join the fun!

I scoured the internet and LinkedIn since the last album drop to see how different healthcare and health tech brands leveraged Taylor Swift's album drop and engagement announcement to bring awareness to important issues.

Get ready to get inspired.

1. Take Command

Trend jacking doesn't always work, but in the right context, it does. This hand-drawn digital art angle is unique, you don't see much of that going on in B2B, much less healthcare.

2. Reperio Health

It wouldn't be health tech if we didn't talk about preventive care. Take a look at how Reperio Health uses pop culture and what consumers (end users) care about to organically insert their brand into the equation.

I was also fortunate enough to be able to sit down with the marketing duo at Reperio Health to get the inside scoop on how they're approaching B2B health tech marketing. Bookmark this for later, I promise it's worth it

3. Healthee

For what it's worth, I'm not a Swiftie, but I do admire her magnetic ability to connect with people.

If the last three posts say anything, let it be this: enable your teams to operate at the speed of social. There are quick bursts in time when something may be a trend, and you don't want to be the last to hop on.

4. MD+DI

This one is more subtle, and connects back to preventive care in a personal way.

5. Tava Health

I think we all need to give ourselves more grace. Think about how you can give your audience some grace in their news feeds, amid the abundance of AI slop and brain rot.

6. Porthaven Post Acute

Say yes to making posts that will make your audience smile, laugh, or feel something.

7. ARCHANGELS

Caregiving is a universal issue. If your audience consists of caregivers, find unique ways to tie back culture to their reality.

8. Children's Health

These are some of my favorite carousel post types. It humanizes the clinicians behind the amazing work that providers do on a daily basis.

Closing Comments

If you're looking to tap into pop culture for your social media strategy, this does not mean doing everything all at once.

This means having a ruler to measure trends against. Is it relevant to your audience? Is it timely? Can you meaningfully tie the trend to your product/solution without it sounding or feeling cringe?

The goal of any trendjacking activity should be to humanize the domain of healthcare or health technology that you represent. Rather than it being measured on MQLs, it's more of a top-of-funnel tactic.

But, that's not to say it's ineffective. You just have to make sure that you're measuring tactics by the right goals.
